North Porch

The North Porch DoorThe North Porch is the principle entrance to the church.  Not only does it serve the approach from The Green, it is also faces the Christian Centre, built in 1972 on the site of the former Church School (of which only the assembly hall flanking Church Lane remains)

In 2005 the old gates to the North Porch were replaced with glass doors and four small, diamond shaped, windows were incorporated in the main inner door. The outer doors help to conserve energy, as people go in and out in the winter, and the windows in the inner door are more user-friendly than the rather intimidating appearance of the solid oak door.
