Choir Stalls

In 1853,the chancel was cleared of pews and the sanctuary floor raised three steps and open seats were put in. In 1869, the nave galleries and box pews were removed and the present varnished pine benches installed.  Choir seats were introduced in the chancel although there may have been some further rearrangement or renewal of the choir seats in 1885 when a new pulpit was installed, the original one going to the sister church of St Paul's Highwood.
